A new school year and a new season naturally calls for a good dose of interior inspiration. Because every reason is good to give your interior a fresh, new look. These are the latest trends that will adorn your home this fall. We can't guarantee that you won't immediately rush to the store to stock up!
A sustainable and ecological interior will remain the absolute trend in the autumn of 2020. This autumn, people choose local products that are produced sustainably. Invest in items that last for years, make a statement and are made by a local woodworker or artist. This way you get a piece that not only makes you happy, but also others.

Gray and cool tones make way for earthy colors this fall, borrowed from nature. Don't necessarily think of white and brown, but shades such as deep green, aubergine, glossy amber and terracotta. On furniture we see different shades of brown that are reminiscent of wood, but also the colors of blossom, mosses and mist.
This fall we will once again get inspiration from grandma and grandpa because the classic retro interior is back. Interior magazines describe the style as “ granny chic meets instaproof ” where vintage pieces and trinkets blend perfectly with more modern, sleek pieces and comfort. Brown vintage sideboards on legs match metal bookcases, while you decorate your modern sofa with embroidered patterned cushions and illuminate your living space with a striking chandelier.

This fall we opt for colorful seats. Get rid of that timeless, gray piece that can last for decades and go with everything. This fall we're going to pop with a seat in a bright color or a monochrome item that fits perfectly with the color of your walls.

Where in the past “ less is more ” was often the motto and everything had to be clinical, sleek and sober, we now see that a counter-movement is starting in which we can pull out all the stops. Extravagant furniture, large chandeliers and generous carpets in monochrome colors steal the show this autumn. The bigger the statement and the more striking the piece, the better you follow this monochromatic trend.

Good news for all crazy plant moms and dads because we are also bringing nature into our home this fall. But where this used to be limited to sanseverias, cacti and succulents, the focus is shifting to large plants with whimsical shapes. Carefully choose small and large pots and mix high and low ones and different levels to get the perfect one urban jungle to come.

We already saw the trend in 2019, but in the fall of 2020 the velvet trend will also remain very current and fashionable. Combine robust materials such as wood and metal with extremely feminine velvet. For example, you combine a rough dining room table made of weathered wood with velvet bucket seats, or a metal bed is beautiful with a velor bed frame.
